Technoblade : Hope

This blog is unplanned and concerns the passing of a well known YouTuber called Technoblade. If you're uncomfortable with the topic , you have been warned. This is me getting very personal and very open with my emotions , if you are not here for that , leaving is recommended.

My mid-year project includes Technoblade , so it'll be heavily edited to be respectful. His name is Alex and not Dave , even in death he is pranking us. August will be used for the 1 year anniversary, but September will be left blank as a mark of respect.


For those who don't know , Technoblade is an American youtuber well known for his minecraft videos. In the game , he is well known for his PvP skills , Intellectual capabilities and dry sense of humour.

I found out about Technoblade roughly when I found out about Dream. All the way back  Back when their rivalry was at a burning point. I saw his content , and thought nothing of it.
Over time. I grew to love Technoblade.
I would describe Technoblade as a strong character.
He always had the uphand in a suitation , and that was admirable. Witty yet sarcastic and dark ,underneath all that humour was a truly humble human who cared.


9.16 a.m. today , on the 1st July in my home country., 16 minutes after the video released , I saw the video announcing the death of Technoblade. I was in class and had just been dismissed , awe and Excitement from him releasing the video surged into Denial as I realised the gravity of the situation.


Over 10 hours later , here I am. I have been thinking about what I can do and reflecting on my life prior. I decided that today will be the best day to honour the loss of one of the best people not only on the platform , but on the entire planet.


I always sympathised with Technoblade. A nerdy introvert with social anxiety but was honest and witty in his opinions. He was never afraid to be himself and that was something I admire a lot.

I listened to his stories while researching for my notes or even when I just felt alone. It's why this blog is called Technoblade : Hope. He brought me hope for my future.
He helped me form connections to the friends I held dearest , he made me feel heard and recognised even though he doesn't even know me , he made me feel powerful by being unfilteredly himself.

He was more than a just a silly lego game youtuber.

He was an inspiration.
A Legend.
The Legend of the blood god.


I've been thinking. Thinking about why I've been writing this. For pity? For empathy? I'm just complaining using text over a plain background about the death of a youtuber over 10,000 kilometers away from me to random people who arent going to care. So what's the point?


I think I understand now.
Because his inclusion in my life has improved it beyond recognition.

I'm grateful. I have nothing but respect.

Technoblade never dies because Technoblade has evolved beyond just Alex. Technoblade is a legend. A symbol for all those who voices are unheard. To be a better person tommorrow than you are today.

He was strong in his PvP , he was strong in his intelligence.
But he was strong in a way I never realised. He was human.


He died with his family. His message reaching his fans. The Internet crying and honouring his memory with comments , memorials , some with over a decade of experience with him. He died with 10 million , a goal he has been working for over 8 years. He died with his final video being called "So long nerds".

He died true. And happy. And to Technoblade , we have nothing...but love.


He has risen to heaven to take on the kingdom of God, but I think....that He'll find heaven open with welcome arms.

We'll miss you Technoblade.
