Chara VS OMORI ( Undertale VS OMORI )

“ Moving on is not about forgetting. It's about moving forward and never looking back. ” – Imania Margria

*Spoilers for both Undertale and OMORI, duh.

Knife-wielding morally gray kids ( Chara's Toy Knife & Worn Dagger; OMORI's Shiny knife & Red Knife ) who serve the final antagonists to their Indie RPG games. Having the ability to persist after death ( Chara's DETERMINATION; OMORI's refusal to succumb ) and enough power to wipe their realm repeatedly ( Undertale ; Headspace ), they are some of the most dangerous and significant members of their universe. They take a similar appearance to their counterpart ( Frisk ; Sunny ).

They have a mother-like guardian figure who they murder which kick starts the story. ( Frisk kills Toriel to start the Genocide Run ; The accidental murder of Mari is what starts the events of OMORI ).

They too guide some of the darkest routes in the game (Genocide Route; Hikkiomori Route ). The protagonist gives into their dark actions ( Frisk killing everyone in the Underground; Sunny buring the truth under endless Headspace Cycles ). All the while, two judges ( Sans; Stranger ) reprimand them for their actions. It ends in vain ( Chara kills Sans ; Stranger gives up ) as they both lose control (Chara controls Frisk’s soul; OMORI controls Sunny’s body ).

“Do you think that even the worst people can change? That everyone can be a good person…if they just try…?” – Sans

"An unallowed burden has been placed upon you. you have the power to change the future. What will you do, DREAMER? what will you do?" – Mute

In the best timeline ( Pacifist Route ; Sunny Route ), Frisk/Sunny sets out into a whole different world to try to make things right. In the final battle, they are manipulated by illusions of their friends, only for it to backfire. ( In the final fight, all of Frisk's friends – without their memories – start attacking Frisk. However this only makes Frisk more determined ; In Phase 6 of the OMORI fight, OMORI makes an illusion of Sunny's friends having hung themselves. However, this gave Sunny the encouragement to keep pushing forward. ) In the end, they manage to reunite with their friends ( Underground reuniting with the Surface ; Sunny's friends meeting up again ).

“ Despite Everything, It's still you. ” - You, the Player

OMORI VS Chara

Merry Christmas everyone!

I promised Undertale. I promised more game characters. Here I am to deliver. Both OMORI and Undertale are fantastic games that have changed my life in a way few others have, and I urge you all reading to give them a try.

This blog is my biggest project this year. Projects involving game characters always take so long to do. I say this every year, but really…what a year it has been. I've learnt so much about formating, researching, and producing these blogs, and I cannot wait to see what else I can do in the future.

Special thanks to all of my friends who made this blog possible, who offered their support and guidance. Without them, this year would not have been possible. Without further ado, I hope you all have a good read.

Enjoy!

Fanart:

OMORI:

You wake up in a dream. The skies are purple and the world a messy sketch. A reality that is vibrant and colorful, and your friends waiting smiling back at you. Forever together. How could you leave?

OMORI is a role-playing indie game made by OMOCAT. Silent and stoic, yet sarcastic and cheeky, OMORI is a monochromatic 12-year-old boy who goes on journeys through a universe called the headspace with his friends as they navigate space and forest together . He is the main character of the headspace, and serves as the avatar of the Dreamer.

Although a dream is only just that……a dream.

Above the headspace holds the White Space, where it holds the mind of the dreamer. Following the accidental murder of his sister, Sunny, a reserved depressed 16-year-old introvert, spent the past 4 years as a hikikomori in social withdrawal – hiding in his room. However, with 3 days left to tell his friends the truth, we follow his journey as he confronts the lies he hid further in the black space.

OMORI is a separate entity from Sunny. He has the body of 12-year-old Sunny, a doppelgänger with a black & white color. While his purpose is left extremely ambiguous and left up to interpretation, he effectively serves as the manager of all the different areas in Sunny's mind, be it a vessel or a guard. He serves as one of the most powerful individuals in Headspace, only rivaled by Sunny – the dreamer – & the Stranger.

Regardless, living in a dream forever isn't healthy, and so Sunny confronts OMORI one last time.

There’s no guarantee for forgiveness, but maybe…just maybe…..there are still friends smiling back at you.

Chara:

It was a single misstep – a trip against the rocky mountains. Nonetheless you tumble down as the cave consumes your body as it falls down into death. Yet, you still wake up, laying in a pile of flowers, as a woman welcomes you into the inescapable realm. But she isn't a human…

Undertale is an adventure indie game made by Toby Fox. It tells the tale of Frisk, a child who falls into a small world called the Underground , a magical long sealed off portion of the earth occupied solely by monsters. You are empowered by DETERMINATION – the ability to preserve after death. Human souls are incredibly powerful, with a single human soul far out powering all of the Underground combined. Those with human souls are some of the most powerful entities in Undertale.

With power over life and death, time and space, you could do anything! So you help everyone, freeing them from their prison and saving them all with kindness and empathy. But then….the journey ends. The happy ending is here, yet you still want more. Infinite resets means that there are no consequences. If you could avoid consequences, then it wouldn't hurt if….you killed them all….and so you start. Towns are evacuated and the street left empty,

Your old friends believe that there is still a bit of good in you, but actions speak louder than words.

At the end of the cave – you had killed the last hope – and you stumbled across your final opponent. CHARA shares the name with the first human who fell into the underground, but she is long dead. What remains is a dead spirit, reawakened by your evil and keen on complete control, her purpose and nature being left up to interpretation. There's one thing for certain – If you have gotten this far, it's too late.

CHARA takes your soul, and uses it to reset the timeline. Your happy ending is gone forever , and you're doomed to never have another happy ending again.

Ground Rules:

For the purposes of this blog, we'll be putting OMORI in the context of the Sunny's mind and Chara from the end of the Genocide Run. That'll create an actual compatible and comparable scenario where their powers and abilities pair off in an interesting way.

( That way it wouldn't be OMORI , who is imaginary, against Chara, who is dead 99% of the time, which leaves practically no room for discussion. )

No outside help or outside non-standard gear will be given . They will be in character and will be given their high end feats in line with what makes sense for their character.

They will be given only canon material. This is especially important as – since both OMORI & Undertale are often left to interpretation – unofficial content or headcanons can quickly be misinterpreted as fact.

With all that out of the way, let's get started where we always start.

Strength:

In terms of physical strength, they do not have too many notable feats. A large portion of the Underground and Headspace fights involve fights more against random goons than people of notoriety; Beating a Froggit and a sprout mole don't spark a sense of awe after all.

They do have a few feats worth mentioning. Frisk is able to battle Tsunderplane, a living Tsundere Plane.

(.....Don't ask….)

Since it's an actual plane, we have a good measurement for it. Using a Boeing 747 as a basis, the maximum Kinetic Energy of Tsunderplane reaches about 1.7 Tons of TnT

That should be a good start. From there, Knight Knight is able to bombard Frisk with meteors.

( 51 Tons of TnT )

Most impressively, Neutral Frisk, who survives nukes from a sentient flower.

(Don't ask, it only gets weirder lol )

( In the artbooks, Flowey's nukes are actual nukes, specifically based on the Little Boy & Fat Man. These have respective yields of 15 and 21 Kilotons of TnT respectively. )

Physically, Chara should be above this, putting her around the Building level ranges of destruction all the way up to Small town. That isn't too shabby. OMORI however is far stronger physically – which makes sense given that he operates on a cosmic scale.

OMORI directly fights against Expanded Pluto, who is well.... the entire planet of Pluto; He is capable of throwing the Moon and slamming around Earth.

Small Nukes compared to throwing the entire moon aren't really on the same level; About a 45 Septillion times difference.

(I mean like…what's Chara to do?)

OMORI also has fought a plane, although theirs is a shark.

That's only the beginning of a small part of the story. Physically they are strong, but with their abilities, they are so much more. In order to touch on that, we have to talk a bit about their worlds.

Cosmology;

Undertale:

Let us start with Undertale's world as it's more linear in its approach, with many layers of cosmology on top of each other.

The most fundamental layer is the normal universe, where everything outside of all the time and space shenanigans takes place.

“ H-hey, I've done research on this! There are alternate universes out there! ” – Alphys, scientist of the Underground.

From there, we have SAVE FILES. When a user of DETERMINATION feels an incredible will to survive, they can make a point of time in which they can jump back to at any time. These are based on “saving” a game.

Save Points work like time travel, allowing the user to shift back and forth through different sections of the game.

These are usually only accessible with enough DETERMINATION, which brings us to our final layer.

The TIMELINE, goes by many names, from “The World”, “Everything” and even “The Game”, but they all symbolize the highest layer of the Undertale Cosmology.

A timeline contains all the Save files and the existing universe within, marking a unique branch of time. Universes within many Save Files within Timelines.

Undertale works under the many-worlds interpretation, in which we “live in a near-infinity of universes, all superimposed in the same physical space but mutually isolated and evolving independently.” Infinite worlds separated by our choices.

(So much of this cosmology is built upon a talking soulless flower lol)

There are about 100 FUN values determining the few most unique timelines, though there are infinite more timelines, some drastically different, some exactly the same.

TL;DR: Undertale is composed of an Infinite Multiverse of Timelines, each with several Save Points, and each Save Point holding a universe.

OMORI:

OMORI's world is rather unique compared to the ones I have covered so far, with 4 - 6 adjacent different-sized realms rather than a single layered point of cosmology.

WHITE SPACE is the first, created by Sunny as he sank into a crevice in his mind, which happens to be an empty white room. The cosmology began here, starting with only the DREAMER ( Sunny ) and the room alone.

It is mostly empty. It's a place to survive but not live, where nothing dies or lives. Timeless and voidless, whilst it doesn't have an official size we can compare it to something like the Black Space.

Within the WHITE SPACE is the RED SPACE. It's where the red hands originate from, in which they build stairs from the WHITE SPACE into the RED SPACE. Not much can be said about the RED SPACE other than it is where the final boss of OMORI takes place.

The HEADSPACE is the universe where OMORI goes on adventures with his friends. It is a world made from imagination, fusing many worlds and dreams into a world for endless adventure. It is a universe, as stated many times throughout the game.

The HEADSPACE is really big, although it is finite, as even imagination is limited.

Last of all, the BLACKSPACE. The BLACKSPACE is a realm sealed under the HEADSPACE, a place where darkness whispers lies, and truths.

It is by far the largest realm, being infinite in size and holding dimensions that are too infinite in size.

TL;DR: OMORI has about four Major Spaces, with one being the size of the universe, one being timeless, and one being infinite and holding many infinite sized realms.

Power :

When comparing the cosmology, they appear to be relatively equal, with both being multiple universes with a layer of infinity on top of it. The difference comes from how far they scale into Cosmology.

OMORl's power is clear cut. He is a direct equal to Sunny, and even defeats Sunny in certain routes of the game. He is responsible for the creation of the WHITE SPACE, BLACK SPACE and HEADSPACE.

( In fact, OMORI is completely unharmed by Sunny’s attacks. Sunny only defeats OMORI if he can come to peace and accept the truth of what he has done. )

OMORI also is the one controlling over most of the different worlds. This very easily means OMORI can scale to large chunks of the cosmology, if not all of the Infinite Multiverse.

Chara however isn't as clear cut. Characters like Chara, Asriel Dreemurr and Frisk can easily destroy timelines.

However, they only have ever shown destroying a single timeline , and not the whole infinite timelines which makes up the larger cosmology. At most, Chara only scales to the Save Files, which the highest shown has only gotten up to 6.

Whilst there are likely many more Save Files, the main issue still stands in which there is an infinite difference between 6 universes and an infinite amount of universes.

OMORI takes the lead in power quite handily.

Speed:

Due to the nature of RPG games, speed is complicated and often inconsistent – in a similar fashion to power. Let's work our way up.

For their slower feats, Frisk is able to react to lightning from Vulkin, putting them at a couple thousand times the speed of sound.

( Mach 3848.4 )

Pluto threw the Earth at 12% of the speed of light, which is supported by Kel dodging lasers at about 37% the speed of light, placing OMORI at almost 85 times faster than Chara.

But to see the true potential of our fighters, we have to go faster. Asriel Dreemurr's Hyper Goner fired an attack that erased the entire timeline in a single attack, affecting every soul in the Underground.

– This reaches speeds of about 147 Quadrillion times the speed of light.

( Keep in mind this is questionable, given that Nasterblook reacted to it as a normal ray of light quite outside his range of speed. )

So what does OMORI have that can keep up with that? Well then we have to take a look at Pluto's flight speed.  Pluto being a planetoid tends to move at incredibly high speeds, and a lot of the best speed feats come from him.

Pluto managed to fly to earth in a few seconds, flying over 8000 times the speed of light. He also crosses galaxies at about 8 Trillion times to 733 Quadrillion times the speed of light.

Most impressively, Pluto has traveled all around the universe, ranging anywhere from 11.1 Trillion times the speed of Light to 12.5 Sextillion times the speed of light. ( Depending largely on the time frame )

There are arguments for OMORI to be even faster than that, given that he has moved in the Whitespace, which – implied by the unmoving time of the laptop display and the lack of a day – is timeless.

( Finite Distance over No Time is Infinite Speed )

Similarly, characters like Humphrey and Abbi existed before Headspace, a universe, was created. Space Ex-Husband is even said to transcend space and time.

( These faster arguments are questionable and should be taken with a grain of salt. For instance, Space Ex-husband  “transcending space and time” could also just be an exaggeration for the heartbreak and depression he felt from the divorce. )

Conclusion, who is faster? Tough to say since the numbers are all over the place with some calculations being questionable – specifically both the Hypergoner & the Pluto Spaceline are iffy. ( Napstablook reacted to it just fine; The timeframe wasn't given. )

That being said, OMORI does have more speed showings than Chara, mainly thanks to Pluto flying around a lot. Yet they are still relatively comparable, especially since both of them have ways to become faster by increasing their speed.

Abilities & Counters :

Their abilities – and how they counter each other's abilities – will be one of the biggest deciding factors of their fight. As RPG characters, they often have a plethora of powerful gear and abilities that often redefine how dangerous they are.

DETERMINATION

Alright, we are onto the big stuff now. I have been mentioning DETERMINATION over and over again in this blog, but what exactly is DETERMINATION?

This is your soul. Souls are the battle system of Undertale. Everyone, including Frisk and Chara, are able to use manipulate their soul as basically a substitute to physical hand-to-hand combat. It is one's very essence, most literal representation of one's self.

And in each soul, there exists something called DETERMINATION. It is a power source, born from the humans ability to persevere after death. DETERMINATION makes you stronger and faster, allows you to heal from damage, persist after death without a soul. ( See Flowey the Flower )

Most importantly, DETERMINATION allows one to manipulate the fabric of space and time. They can do this in several ways.

Save Points & Save Files:

Save Points can be made with high enough amounts of DETERMINATION, marked at certain locations to save progress in both time and location. If the user wantes to (or dies), they will canonically respawn at the same point of time and location as their Save Point. This pauses the other universe, and creates a new one, with the used maintain all memories from before.

( See visual below )

It's basically like a Save File from any game, except it's part of the lore. There are some technical aspects to Save Files. You can stop someone from loading a Save File if you have greater DETERMINATION than them, and even make Save Files without a soul if you're determined enough, given Flowey did so.

Reset & True Reset:

If one has the most DETERMINATION in a timeline, one can “Reset” time back to the first moment they gain enough DETERMINATION to start Saving and Loading.

True Reset is a more drastic version of Reset, resetting time to the moment before the first Save File, wiping the slate clean.

“ But it refused ”

With enough DETERMINATION, Frisk can force themselves to keep fighting, reviving without the need for a Save File. They use this agajndt Asriel, in spite of Asirel Dreemurr's greater power and control over the timeline.

Additional Abilities:

Invincibility Frames allow you to become invulnerable briefly after taking an attack to allow the player to recover.

In a confrontation, there are many options for retaliation. These are self-explanatory, Fight, use an item, or spare them and run.

Acting depends on the situation. The results can vary from everything from praying to flirting.

( Because that's Undertale )

TL;DR: “If I believe in myself, I can do anything”

Reality Warping:

OMORI's primary purpose is to ensure that Sunny does not find out the truth. To do so, he has control over large portions of the Cosmology, and is responsible for the constant cycles of the Headspace. The Headspace works in a timeloop, restarting everytime the flower boy ( Basil ) finds out about the truth.

OMORI is the one who initiates the timeloop, always keeping Sunny protected and hidden, for better or for worse. This gives him a great significance, and allows him special perks.

“OMORI did not succumb”

Whenever OMORI sustains a fatal blow, he will survive on a single HP, not succumbing to the attack. The nature of nature existence allows him to not be able to die.

OMORI later uses this against Sunny in their final confrontation, regenerating from any damage taken instead of remaining at a single hitpoint. Throughout the battle, He becomes stronger & faster and his appearance reddens – which repeats about 5 times. ( Given Sunny loses after that ) Following the first resurrection, OMORI evolves from “did not succumb” to “will not succumb” which continues until the end of the battle with no signs of stopping.

TL;DR:

Additional Abilities:

OMORI and his friends fight a lot using their emotions. Emotions are important, working in a “Scissors, Paper, Stone” system of Happy, Sad & Angry which give different status effects. These can also further evolve into Esatic, Depressed and Enraged. OMORI specifically can further evolve his emotions to Manic, Furious and Miserable.

( Anger increases damage, Happiness increases Luck, Sadness increases defense. )

OMORI specifically has the ability to invoke the status effect Afraid, which prevents the victim from using skills and lowers their defenses against enemies with emotions.

Finally, if need be, Sunny can use “Calm down” to calm down (obviously) and heal back health. OMORI should be able to use it too if need be.

Gear:

Both of these children have a plethora of gear and abilities that makes them suited for the treacherous adventure they journey through on a daily basis.

Both OMORI & Chara have many wacky items in their inventory ranging from Stained Aprons to a Fox's tail. However, many of these are useless in battle or are replaced by significantly stronger items.

As important as the Photo Album or the Stick, they ultimately do little to contribute to the battle. Thus, I'll bring up more important aspects of their kit.

Chara's gear is an amalgamation of all the gear Frisk has collected throughout their run. It can be split into roughly 3 categories, following Undertale's battle system in a self-explanatory way.

Firstly, WEAPONS. Frisk has a wide variety of weapons, from a Toy Knife to Tough Gloves, allowing them to increase their damage. Equipment like the Ballet Shoes can be stacked on top of other equipment, allowing for Frisk to attack with double the damage.

Most impressive is definitely the Worn Dagger, serving equivalently the same as a real knife. It is the most damaging weapon in the game.

Secondly, ARMOUR. Frisk needs this to increase their defense, letting them better tank hits. Examples of this include the Faded Ribbon and Old Tutu ( “Finally, a protective piece of armor” ) but most impressive is the Locket.

“Best friends forever” – This Locket actually belonged to Chara and Asriel long before the events of Undertale.

The Timmy Armour has the unique property to give extra Invincibility frames to the user, basically allowing Frisk to tank some attacks for free. The Torn Notebook and Cloudy Glasses do something similar.

“ tem armor so GOOds! any battle becom! a EASY victories!! ” – Timmie Shopkeeper.

Finally, HEALING. This heals up Frisk, allowing them to survive when they should have reasonably died long ago. Frisk has by far the most of these, from Bandages, Monster Candies and Nice Cream.

Also, Snail Pie.

“ An acquired taste ” – ( I don't believe you. )

Some of the best healing equipment heals Frisk to full health, the most reliable of which being Butterscotch-Cinnamon Pie.

Other healing equipment can increase statistics as well. Legendary Hero besides healing you, makes you stronger; The Sea Tea can double or even quadruple one's speed.

Frisk in their darkest moments can even heal by themselves using DETERMINATION, as seen with the Last Dream.

Finally, Frisk has a jetpack that can be assessed via an app on their phone given by Alphys.

OMORI's combat system is slightly different from Undertale's fighting system. Attacks, Defense, Hit-rate & Speed are self explanatory. Luck refers to Critical Hit-rate, whilst Juice and Energy are built up to allow special skills and group attacks to be performed.

In terms of items, OMORI mains with a knife. His most deadly being the Red Knife, which he uses against Sunny at their confrontation.

CHARMS are the most versatile, basically covering every category on the board. Abbi's Eye and Paper Bag offer the greatest increase in statistics overall, and the Universal remote allows OMORI to easily enter the Blackspace.

TOYS are versatile, however they are most commonly used to change Emotions. For instance, the Confetti, Rain Cloud and Airhorn makes all party members happy, sad and agnry respectively.

SNACKS mainly help increase Health & Juice. With items like Dino Clumps & Watermelon Juice healing the team and providing Juice.

Some equipment even allow OMORI some precognition , such predicting who an enemy will target with Observe and Abbi’s Eye.

SUMMONS ( and allies ) make a large part of OMORI's fighting style. They assist him in battle, offering different fighting styles – and most importantly – the friends we made along the way.

The RED HANDS come from the WHITE SPACE, they send people to the beginning of the WHITE SPACE or BLACK SPACE, and prevent others from running away in battle. He too can summon Spider Legs, Black Hands or Black Tenacles to attack, weaken and slow down opponents.

Aubrey, Hero & Kel are OMORI's friends, with their own unique form of fighting. Aubrey serves as the team's tank and the one with the most consistent damage output. Hero is the Team's healer and support player. Kel serves best as a high-speed glass cannon, dealing damage quickly.

Basil, the Flower Boy, acts primarily as a healer, similar to Hero; But he can be adjusted to play any playstyle be it a tank like Aubrey or a glass cannon like Kel. During the boss rush, he is OMORI's only teammate and thus can play any team role, though he works best as a support healer.

Counters:

Laying all of these out, these 2 cancel each other's abilities and gear quite effectively. Attack buffs, defense buffs, healing, etcetera, all of the such. Their more unique abilities can too be resisted or countered directly, for instance:

Frisk can clear their mind to bypass Madjick's babble, ignoring his ability to make one dizzy and confused with his speech. This effectively means Frisk can get pass OMORI's emotional manipulation, as well as overcome it with DETERMINATION.

Inversely, given that OMORI can control his own emotions, Chara's “Act” wouldn't be effect either.

From there, most of their gear is oddly useless, given the difference in their physical strength.

Chara cannot physically hurt OMORI, and cannot take a hit from OMORI. In that sense, increasing her attack and defense is fruitless. This effectively makes most of Chara's gear useless. However the inverse is true for OMORI. His gear doesn't help OMORI overcome her DETERMINATION in any way.

Congratulations. Instead of killing a small child in one hit, you can get your friends to do it instead. – There isn't really a point to any gear that cannot directly help them kill each other permanently. OMORI still needs to get past Frisk's DETERMINATION, and Frisk needs to get past OMORI's immortal nature.

Let's go a bit more in depth on their immortality.

Types of Immortality:

Both Chara & OMORI have a few forms of Immortality, but not all forms of Immortality are made the same. There are 9 key forms of Immortality.

1. Eternal Life

2. No damage

3. Regeneration

4. Resurrection

5. Deathless

6. Parasitic

7. Undead

8. Reliant

9. Transcendental

Both Chara & OMORI have Type 4 and Type 8 Immortality.

OMORI is immortal as long as Sunny doesn't accept the truth, and will keep coming back until Sunny accepts the truth. Chara is immortal for as long as she has DETERMINATION, she can keep coming back by resetting the timeline or going back to a previous save file.

Win Conditions:

Chara:

Chara has a few strategies to try to take OMORI down.

OMORI has not shown any resistance against characters more powerful than him. In theory, that should allow for Chara to overpower him. However in practice, seems unlikely, given the infinite power gap between them.

Chara could try to affect Sunny directly, bypassing OMORI's immortality by attacking the source of his immortality. However, that likely wouldn't work given that Sunny is hidden behind a far larger distance that Chara hasn't the range to hit. OMORI could send him further back into whatever area he wants, similar to how the truth got sent further into the Blackspace.

OMORI being an extension of Sunny means he technically doesn't have a soul, meaning that Chara cannot possess him how she did to Frisk.

She can't even brute force reset to before OMORI was formed. Undertale spans over a few days at most, and she can only reset to her first point ( being a few days ago ). OMORI has existed for at least 4 years, likely far longer.

From there, Chara is kind of out of options. She will have to brute force one of these strategies, and that might take quite a bit of time.

OMORI:

OMORI meanwhile could actually overpower her, given that he has an actual power advantage over her. However, Frisk has actually shown resistance to power greater than her own.

Asriel Dreemurr, with infinitely greater attack and defense than her, was unable to wipe Frisk completely from the timeline. Instead, Frisk managed to persevere and eventually talk Asriel out of it.

OMORI could potentitally destroy DETERMINATION itself, given that DETERMINATION has been treated as a physical substance before, notably when Alphys extracted it to make the Amalgamates.

However, given that Frisk is a source of DETERMINATION, and is motivated by the most mundane things, it is unlikely.

There is a way for OMORI to overcome Chara’s DETERMINATION, and that is to wait. Killing Chara repeatedly until she loses the DETERMINATION to persevere.

That was Asriel's strategy to take Frisk down in that True Pacifist Timeline. After all, as Flowey said…

You get bored. You get less DETERMINED over time. It is the go-to strategy for someone like Sans the skeleton.

Alternatively, whilst it is up to interpretation, Papyrus does defeat ( and maybe knock out ) Frisk if he defeats them.

Anyways, OMORI killing Chara continuously is a genuine method of victory, and is one of his best win conditions..

Tertiary factors :

OMORI for being a 12-year-old is both experienced and skilled in combat. In his experience, he can defeat Sir Maximus, who has centuries worth of combat experience. He has also fought the dwarf planet Pluto – who is 4.5 Billion years old.

Frisk has battled their own fair share of seasoned opponents. They have battled against Sans the Judge and Undyne the Undying , both of which being some of the finest the Underground has to offer. Frisk has also defeated Asgore, who has been the king of the Underground since the Medieval Era, potentially all the way back to the 5th-15th Century.

( This makes Asgore anywhere from 500 to 2000 years old )

Lastly, OMORI is also extremely intelligent in his general knowledge. For instance, he knows exact detailed descriptions of both Cilantro and Ginger, and is the author of FOE FACTS, which has the information of any enemy.

He's also really good at math, being able to do many complex mathematical calculations basically instantly.

His knowledge of all the realms from the WHITE SPACE to the BLACK SPACE is unrivaled by anyone else.

Chara, thanks to Frisk, is intelligent in her own right. Her knowledge of Timelines, DETERMINATION, and all of the such, even surpasses that of Flowey and Sans, some of the smartest in the Underground.

Final Verdict:

Omori :

+ Stronger & More Powerful

+ Possibly Faster

+ Skill & Experience

+ Better Counters

+ Win Conditions

= Skill

= Gear

= Speed

= Intellect

= Stamina

= Haxes

+ Has a Manga coming out.

+ Play OMORI, it's a great game

- Stairs

Chara :

+ Possibly faster

+ Versatility

+ Can make her own DETERMINATION

- Most of gearset ineffective against OMORI

= Skill

= Gear

= Speed

= Intellect

= Stamina

= Haxes

+ Has another game coming out.

+ Play Undertale, it's a great game

DETERMINATION is one of the most overpowered things I have covered my blogs, but OMORI has a pretty good shot of victory.

His absurd physical strength, as well as plethora of supports, teammates and gear, means that the pace of the fight will be his to control. Even if Chara finds a means to take OMORI down, his physical superiority means that she is going to have a difficult time to exploit it.

Of course, OMORI actually has a solid way to take down Chara, whilst Chara doesn't have a solid way to take down OMORI. In a battle of 2 unkillables , that is what it ultimately comes down to.

OMORI’s greater power, superior skill, and better win conditions leaves him more determined to win the battle.

But Hey, That's just a Theory! A Game Theory! Merry Christmas to you all.

Winner: OMORI
