Magneto (Marvel Comics) VS Omni-man ( Image Comics)

Yooooo the final manhunt was phenomenal! Also Happy Birthday Philza and Sapnap! Like i said i really don't have a match-up for those two , but I do have a mid-year special lined up. The Final Manhunt we'll dicuss then. However I have a match-up I've been excited to discuss for quite a bit of time....

Two Fictional , inhuman ( Mutant and Viltrumite ) villans ( Erik and Nolan ) focused on making another of their race(Invincible ( Mark Grayson) and Professor X(Charles Xavier )) to join them in proving the superiority of their race. Along the way they have been in conflict with their arch enemies main teams ( X-men and Guardians of the Globe) but eventually turn good and joined teams. Their typical uniform is red with another colour but occasionally shown to wear full white.

Magneto VS Omni-man

Introducing a new series , another new comic series , Invincible from Image Comics/ Amazon, let's see how they scale to marvel characters shall we? Personally this is my favourite match-up for both characters , since i don't know Tetso or Doctor Polaris that well and Bardock honestly is over-rated. I have recently read the entirety of the Invincible line so I'm interested to see how this plays. Also due to my poor planning , this blog is only less than 2 days apart from the last blog, so apologies about that. I didn't know when to release the othee blog and I forgot that February was 28 days.

Quick Rule Breakdown:

There isn't much here since these characters are more consistent than a lot of my other combatants. 

Standard versions will be used (616 and main universe) , standard equipment is allowed ( Which is literally just their costumes and magneto's helmet ) . No outside help will be allowed. 

Strength and Durability:

Let's start with physical strength. Firstly Omni-man , what can he do? 

Something important to note about not only Omni-man , but for Viltrumites as a species , is that they become stronger every time they heal from a battle when they are pushed to their limits. So, as the feats go on , Omni-man only gets stronger and stronger.  

Even before his first boost, he almost soloed the entire Flaxan race, these things were able to defeat the new guardians of the globe, including characters like pre-awaken Adam Eve , Robot , Monster Girl and a Young Invincible. He killed the old guardians of the globe , including members like Immortal, and consistently fought a pre-boost Allen the Alien. 

However the most powerful feat of strength was executed by Nolan , Mark and Thaedus together to destroy the planet of Viltrum. Giving the benefit of the doubt , Omni-man is planet level in strength. 

What about Erik? In his fight with Ironman ,he channeled the power of the magnetic pull of Jupiter , which is 2.4 times that of earth. Being able to destroy a planet means to have enough power to overcome the magnetic pull of a planet keeping it together. Which means he at least is 2.4 times more powerful than Omni-man , not even including his scaling to Ironman and Storm, both of these characters should be able to contend with Thor and Hulk level characters at their best , which if i push it could push magneto up to universal, though it is not consistent.

Their strength should scale to their durability as well. So Magneto is slightly more durable and stronger. But there is one caviar. Magneto does not channel this strength 100% of the time, he typically relies more on his force feilds and magnetism , meaning he's around the strength of a human. So magneto can be stronger , but only if he wants to. Otherwise , Omniman is stronger.

Speed: 

Omni man is faster , being able to escape the solar system in a few seconds , and scales to allen who can survey the galaxy in a few weeks. He doesn't really have too many speed feats, but he has the added benefit for space travel with the ability to breathe in space.

Magneto can keep up though , he has been able to keep up with Thor and Ironman , Ironman being able to escape a blackhole and Thor beening able to fight both beta rey bill and sliver surfer , sliver surfer being able to enter the time stream under his own speed. He has kept up with Storm, Storm consistently being able to fight on par with the god of thunder. 

But overall , these two don't rely on their speed too much. They can, i.e. Omniman killing the guardians in an instant , but it is not really the method of attack they prefer. 

Skill and Experience:

In terms of skill and experience , i would have to say they are roughly equal with maybe Omni-man with shear age advantage. He is over 2 thousand years , even Magneto at his oldest , he's 90 years old. However Omniman mainly is a brawler and uses very little skill , and Magneto hasn't shown exceptional skill in much outside of his powers. 

Stamina:

It's kind of a easy win for Omni-man , Magneto still around the stamina of an average human , maybe a peak human , but Omni-man can survive days while fighting. Even Battle Beast and Thragg, who both had their stomachs cut open with interestines spilling out , managed to fight for days before one got a lucky finishing hit.

Intellect:

I would say Magneto is wiser , since he has often rivalled Professor X in his reasoning , but Omni-man did manage to lie for over 2 decades , even fooling Cecil and the guardians of the globe. But they don't really need to fully rely on their intellect, instead relying on their powers.

Gear:

They literally have no gear , but magneto does have his helmet which protects from psychic attacks , but that would not affect Omni-man at all. That's kind of all for this section. 

Now this is the big one.

Powers:

What do they have to offer? Omniman has flight , super speed , super strength and ages slower. That's kind of all for Nolan. This is where Magneto shines. 

Magneto controls not only the magnets, he controls the entire electromagnetic spectrum. 

What does this mean?

He can make force feilds. These things has protected him from hits from Thor (Who destroyed universes) , Hercules ( Who lifted the heavens ) , Hulk ( Who also destroyed universes ), Doctor Doom ( Who rivals Iron man in strength at his worst) , Ironman ( Who has staggered the hulk and defeated the red hulk), Cosmic Spiderman ( Who one shot the hulk) and the Dark Phoenix ( A multiversal threat in nature) , and the list goes on. All these characters are significantly stronger than Nolan, Omni-man is going to have to get real lucky to get through the barriers. 

He can control blood as well, since there is Iron in the blood. Omni-man does need blood to survive , he died to a hit to the heart after all. Looking even on the simple side, he can induce amnesia , paralysis , seizures , strokes and knock outs by simply moving blood away from limbs. He turned a group of avengers into mindless slaves by controlling blood in the brain , including members such as the scarlet witch. He pinned hercules to the ground with his blood in his body and took down a whole team of Avengers and a whole team of X-men by not allowing blood to the brain to knock them out. He's made rouge go limp and he can kill with blood control , he's done it before, tearing an opponent apart. 

He can manipulate gravity , manipulate and generate electricity , or just straight up just throw metal at someone , strong enough to restrain characters like the Red Hulk and Hercules.  

Conclusion:

Who wins? Well Omni-man is faster , more skilled and experienced , has more stamina and maybe is stronger than Magneto's base strength. 

Magneto on the other hand is stronger if he wants to be and more versatile, far more powerful and maybe has better gear. 

This makes it look like Omni-man should win but let's take a closer look. 

There are 3 main questions in this fight:

Can Omni-man take down Magneto?

Can Magneto take down Omni-man?

Who can do it first?

Omni-man can take down Magneto , but he needs to put a lot of effort. Magneto at his best is stronger and more powerful . If we compare Omni-man to Thor , who is vastly superior in every statistics , Magneto has consistently blocked attacks from Thor with his sheilds , at least a few. Thor is universe buster , and considering the Marvel Universe is 100 trillion light years in diameter , makes Thor at minimum 2.50× 10⁶⁷ times more powerful than Omni-man. 

To put to scale how large that is , if Omni-man could destroy an atom , Thor could destroy over a billion suns. So Omniman is going to have to get EXTREMELY lucky. 

Can Magneto take down Omni-man? Of course. He doesn't even need to go physical. He can knock him out instantly by controlling his blood , he can tear omniman apart , or just go for his weakness, the equilibrium, which managed to bring Invincible to his knees with a small communicater device. Or if he's bored , he can just go brawl with Omni-man. Omni-man is still faster , but Magneto is more durable with his sheilds. 

And I think I've made it clearer who wins. Yes Omni-man is powerful , and if he hard pushes his advantages he can win. 

But Magneto is just far , far too powerful. He's an omega level mutant for a reason. Omni-man's kit is too basic , he does not have the raw power and skill to handle the master of magnetism. 

Winner : Magneto 

Over a thousand words in less than a day , quite proud of that one. Definitely going to be using another Invincible match up later this year . Next month is April , Badboyhalo's birthday is 2nd April, so my blog is probably  going to be around then. 

Either that or my birthday. I don't have a match planned though. 

Perhaps hopeful proteges slumber it out next month.
